Comparison sheet / A marketing agency vs ContractorWebStudioHub
A contractor marketing agency or a managed website plan: which do you actually need?
Hire a contractor marketing agency when you want someone to run paid ads, Local Services Ads, reviews and strategy across every channel, and you have the budget for a retainer. Choose a managed website plan when the gap is the website itself: a fast site with a page for every service and town, articles and updates, run for a flat monthly fee. Some contractors use both, with the agency sending traffic to a site we keep fast.
Short verdict An agency wins when you need ads and full-channel marketing run for you. The managed site wins when the website is the job.
01 The other option
What is a traditional contractor marketing agency?
A contractor marketing agency, the category rather than any named company, typically offers a monthly retainer covering some mix of paid search, social ads, SEO, review management and a website. Terms, contract lengths and what the website includes vary widely between agencies.

03 Fair call
When a traditional contractor marketing agency is the better fit
You want paid search, Local Services Ads and social ads run for you. We do not manage ad spend.
You want one partner for strategy across every channel, with regular reporting calls.
You have the budget for a retainer and the volume to justify it.
Your agency is already delivering results you can measure. Keep them.
04 Our call
When a managed trade site wins
You were locked into a yearly agency contract and want month-to-month instead.
The agency site is slow, generic or shared with other contractors.
You want the website done properly without paying for services you do not use.
You want to know the price up front: a monthly fee from the pricing page, and the build fee after launch.
05 Sequence
Agency for ads, managed site for the website
A good split for a growing crew: the agency runs the ad campaigns, we run the website they send traffic to. A faster, more relevant landing page helps the landing page experience part of Google Ads Quality Score, which can lower what each click costs and means more of the clicks you pay for stay on the page.

07 Client notes
What contractors say after switching
We used to have one electrical services page. Now panel upgrades, EV chargers and rewiring each have their own page, and callers mention the page they found before they even ask about price.
The emergency form asks the question I would ask on the phone, so by the time I call back I already know whether to send a truck tonight or book it for Thursday.
Illustrative sample reviews: names, businesses and quotes show the kind of outcome clients describe and are not real customers. Verified reviews replace them once clients agree to be named.
A traditional contractor marketing agency vs ContractorWebStudioHub: questions
Do you run Google Ads or Local Services Ads?
No. We build and run the website. If you want ads managed, keep or hire an agency for that, and we keep the pages they point at fast.
Why is my agency website slow?
Often because it is built on a page builder or shared template with scripts for tracking, chat and widgets stacked on top. Ours are custom coded and guaranteed at the PageSpeed target on the pricing page.
Can a faster website lower my ad costs?
It can help. Google Ads Quality Score includes landing page experience, and a fast, relevant page helps that part. It also means more of the people you paid to click stay long enough to call. Nobody can promise a specific drop in cost per click.
Who owns the site if I leave an agency?
It depends on the agency contract, so check it. With us, the domain is registered in your name and your content is exported to you within 14 days if you leave.
Is there a long contract with you?
No yearly lock-in. Cancel with notice at least 2 business days before your next invoice and your site runs to the end of the paid month.
Can my agency and you work together?
Yes. We connect your forms to the CRM your agency uses and keep pages ready for their campaigns. They run the ads, we run the website.
What does an agency give me that you do not?
Paid ad management, broader strategy and often review management and reporting across channels. We do one thing: the website, with articles and, on higher plans, AI answering and social content.
Is a managed website cheaper than an agency retainer?
Our plans run $127 to $647 a month. Agency retainers vary too much to compare fairly, and they usually include services beyond the website.
