Where the site started, and what it cost the office

Starting point

The trade service requests inquiry route had a single point of failure and no documented alternative. Nobody had tested what a broken submission looked like.

The problem

When it comes to trade service requests, form failures turned visitors into detectives hunting alternative contact details. On the staff side, nobody had a routine for confirming messages still arrived.

02 As built

What we built

The contact page now carries an alternative route, honest error wording and follow-up guidance. Delivery checks exercise the real form, including trade required, property ZIP code and access notes, to confirm messages reach their destination.

Features used

  1. 01Alternative contact method
  2. 02Useful failure message
  3. 03Form delivery check
  4. 04Staff escalation contact

03 Programme

How long it took

20 working days after content approval, including staff review and handover.

20 working days
Scale: working days from content approval. Staff review and handover included.

04 As handed over

What changed

With trade service requests, the new setup gives visitors another way through and gives staff a repeatable check. It improves recovery when something fails without promising uninterrupted operation.

We now know the trade service requests form has a tested fallback. Hoping it never breaks is no longer the strategy.

Questions about this project

How long did this project take?

20 working days after content approval, including staff review and handover. The clock started once the client had approved the content, so the staff review and the handover sit inside that time rather than after it.

Which parts of the plan did this use?

The build used alternative contact method, useful failure message, form delivery check, staff escalation contact. Those sit under a quote request tool built for the trades (on every plan) and managed hosting, nothing itemised (on every plan).

Why is the business not named?

Client case studies are anonymized on purpose. The client is described as a tiling and flooring contractor in Overland Park, Kansas, and the quote is from Bruce Ludlow, service desk lead, used with permission.

Can you do the same for flooring contractors?

Yes. The same approach is part of a managed plan from $127 a month, with the $697 build fee invoiced only after launch. On a demo call we show the pages and forms your trade would get before you commit.
