Contractor website redesign, replacing a slow site without losing the rankings it earned

A contractor website redesign is worth doing when your current site is slow, outdated or built on a page builder you no longer want to fight, and it works best when every old URL redirects to its new equivalent so search rankings carry forward instead of resetting to zero.

What it costs

  • Plans$127 a month
  • Build fee$697, after launch
  • Live in7 days
  • Revisions5 a month
  • Domain and hostingIncluded

Who is contractor website redesign for?

Contractors whose current site is slow, dated, built on a page builder or left behind by the person who made it, and who want a replacement rather than a coat of paint.

Signs a redesign is worth doing

A slow mobile load time, a site that has not been touched in years, a design that looks the same as three competitors down the road, or a page-builder theme nobody at your business wants to keep updating are all reasons contractors come to us for a redesign rather than incremental fixes to what exists.

05 Detail

What the redesign process protects

We rebuild the site from scratch in our own custom-coded system, then carry forward every page worth keeping, service pages, project galleries, reviews, with 301 redirects from every old URL to its new equivalent, so links and search rankings are not lost in the switch.

  • 301 redirects from every old URL to its new equivalent

  • Existing project photos and galleries carried into the new design

  • A 90+ PageSpeed score on the new site from day one

  • Page architecture rebuilt around your actual services and towns

06 Detail

What happens to your current content

Nothing worth keeping is thrown away. We review your current site during onboarding, decide with you what carries forward as-is, what gets rewritten, and what gets retired, then rebuild it inside the new page structure rather than starting from a blank page.

07 Exclusions

What is not included

Knowing the edges of the job makes the rest easier to trust. None of these are part of this service:

  • Importing your old theme, plugins or page builder.
  • Keeping pages that no longer describe your business.
  • Email hosting. We check your email records and leave your provider in place.
  • Recovering a domain held by someone else without their cooperation, though we help with the transfer steps.

What owners say about contractor website redesign

  • I tested the trade service requests page on my own phone before we approved anything. The important details sit near the top and the inquiry button is impossible to miss. The days of talking customers through the menu are over.

  • We took the wording about trade service requests seriously, and I am glad we did. It explains what an inquiry achieves and is honest about what still needs a proper discussion. Correcting the site's accidental promises is no longer part of our calls.

The $697 build fee is invoiced once your site is live and you are satisfied with it. Never before.

Questions about contractor website redesign

Will a redesign hurt our current search rankings?

We minimize that risk with 301 redirects from every old URL to its new equivalent, and by keeping pages that were already ranking. Some short-term fluctuation is normal with any site change.

How long does a redesign take compared to a new site?

The same timeline as any build: 7, 10 or 15 days depending on plan, since the redesign is a full rebuild rather than an edit of the existing site.

Do we lose our current domain?

No. We point your existing domain at the new site, so nothing changes for a customer who already has your address saved.

What if we do not know which pages are worth keeping?

We review your current site during onboarding and recommend what to carry forward, what to rewrite and what to retire, based on what is actually earning traffic today.

Will my old site go down during the switch?

No. It stays live until the new site is approved and the domain is pointed across.

Do I keep my Google reviews?

Yes. Google reviews live on your Google Business Profile, not your website, so they are unaffected.

What if my old developer will not hand over access?

Tell us on onboarding. We rebuild from the public site and help you through the registrar's domain transfer steps.

Can you keep my URLs exactly the same?

Where a URL still makes sense we keep it; where the structure improves, we redirect. Either way, old links keep working.
